Plainview Water Loss
SERVPRO of Hicksville/Plainview received a call for a water loss on 1/22/18. The water loss occurred in Plainview, NY, and was caused due to a pipe bursting in the master bathroom, when no one was occupying the residence. This caused significant flooding to the master bathroom, master bedroom, dining room, living room, hallway, and bedroom, of the residence, as well as flooding out the basement, with standing water of up to 2 inches in parts of the basement. Substantial amounts of contents were located in the main floor of the home, as well as in the basement, and so much water saturated the basement that plastic totes were filled to the top with standing water. SERVPRO performed pack-out services, with the upmost care, extracted all standing water, demoed all affected materials, and restored the home to dry conditions, to ready the home for rebuild services. Post remediation all remaining materials were at a dry standard, the home was left clean, content free in the damaged rooms, and ready for rebuild. The home owner was extremely satisfied with SERVPRO services, and the technicians performed to high level of SERVPRO standards to ensure the dry-out was successfully performed.
